Operational risk training: towards a robust operational risk management framework

Dubai, March 25, 2008 – A three day training program dealing with operational risk has been organized by marcus evans in cooperation with IRIS integrated risk management ag, Zurich and Dubai. The event shall take place in Dubai from April 6 to 8 at Hotel Le Meridien in Dubai, UAE.

Operational risk in the financial world helps preventing external and internal risk as well as ensuring the organization remains competitive in the market. This program will help participants with minimizing losses, maximizing organizational efficiencies, reducing earnings volatility, optimizing technological tools towards a robust operational risk management framework, among other crucial things.

This training is the first of its kind in the region for marcus evans. On the IRIS side it will be lead by Dr Sunil Kumar, Head of Risk Management Middle East of IRIS integrated risk management ag. He has an extensive training experience and has been actively involved in Risk Management activities in the UAE for several years. He is a regular contributor to the local press and has published several articles in newspapers, magazines and journals. He has also co-authored the book “Financial Risk Management for Islamic Banking & Finance”, published by Palgrave McMillan, UK.
